Free(ish) music and costly involvement
My best friend sent me a link to an EP that's available at a price determined by you. Following the example of Radiohead and others, Hi-Sonorous have made The waiting line available to download for free and, with a more selfless twist, encouraged listeners to donate to the Great Lakes Outreach (GLO).
I particularly enjoyed the atmospherics of BANG! and Train in the distance, and the emotional impact of a visit to Africa is clearly evident.
Even if the music doesn't do it for you, take the opportunity to find out about GLO's incredible work in Burundi, and its founder Simon Guillbard, an incredible guy whose book, For what it's worth, asks some of the hardest questions in the Bible with genuine integrity.
