the xx in the pool

I never imagined that I would ever have eaten a pasty nearby to where a Mercury Prize-winning band would one day film a music video but that has now happened.

Penzance's Jubilee Pool is the location for the xx's new single, Chained, a typically beautiful, shadowy and wistful affair. There's an early glimpse of St Michael's Mount, a bit of Cornish sky here and there, a lot of super slo-mo water shots, and not a pasty in sight. Presumably they also stopped filming just before the guys started shrieking about how cold they were.
